Nero 7 is one of the most popular disc burning software programs. It has all the features you’d expect in a CD/DVD burner, but also adds video editing, photo editing, audio recording and managing music libraries. Nero 7 is available at retail outlets for about $50 USD. There are many versions of Nero available for download on pirate sites around the internet. But beware! Pirated versions may come with malware, spyware or adware. Most of the time the torrents are not scanned for infections. Many pirate sites are infested with malware. Downloading any program from a site like this is not recommended. My advice is to get Nero 7 from a reputable source, such as Amazon. For all the tutorials, you should take care that you write down where it’s located on your computer. For example, if I told you to go into C:\\Program Files\\Nero\\Nero 7\\Core_Shell\\Behaviours, can you find it? When you look at drive letters and folder names, they may look a little different on your computer than mine. If you write down the location on your computer, you’ll always know where to find it. You don’t want to have to call tech support for help because you can’t find Nero 7! This program is also available for download on some torrent sites, which are supported. I compared the download files from all these sites with each other and there is considerable variation in size, which means that these downloads may be infected. This program comes with some handy extras. This includes a disc burning tool called Disc Label Maker which enables you to create labels so that your discs are easier for people to identify. The Disc Label Maker also enables you to create your own cover art. You can also change the background colour of the disc before you burn it. If you don’t like the default background colour, you can easily change it to something else, such as grey or blue. I created a CD with the ‘My Music’ playlist and Nero 7 put two separate backgrounds on it, one for each playlist! This is very handy if your files are organised in folders with different colours for each folder. When I asked about this, Nero 7 told me that I could adjust that by creating multiple discs. Later, Nero 7 asked me to burn the same discs again so I could have two matching CDs. The first time, Nero 7 put three separate backgrounds on the CD. Although I had intended to burn only one CD, it ended up having three and I don’t know which one was which! At that point, I gave up and burned them all as single disc ‘My Music’. Nero also comes with a free video editor called 'DVD Lab' which enables you to edit videos and movies. It's not as advanced as the popular Windows Movie Maker (TM), but is good enough for most people. cfa1e77820
